About
Convo-Cards
A place for the stories people don't say out loud, shared anonymously and read by everyone.
Convo-Cards started with a simple idea: everyone has a story they've never told, and most of them are better than anything on TV.
We believe that by sharing our stories, we can also help one another realise that we aren't that alone and unsimilar from each other.
Some stories are funny. Some are awkward. Some are the kind of thing you'd only admit to a stranger. We turn each one into a card, tag it with the region it came from, and put it on the wall for everyone to read.
There are no profiles, no followers and no comment sections. Just the story and where it happened. That's what keeps it honest, and that's what makes people feel safe enough to share.
We read every submission before it goes live. We remove names and anything that could identify someone, and we keep the wall a place people actually want to spend time on.
You share
Write your story and tell us the region it happened in. No sign-up, no name, no email.
We read it
Our team reads every submission. We remove anything that could identify a real person and may trim it for length.
It becomes a card
Approved stories are turned into a Convo-Card and added to the wall for everyone to read.
Our rules
- Anonymous, always. We never publish names, workplaces, phone numbers or anything else that points to a real person.
- Kind, not cruel. Stories can be messy and honest, but we don't publish anything written to hurt or expose someone.
- Real people, real places. We tag stories by region so you can see what's happening in your part of the country.
- Your story, your call. If you change your mind about a story you shared, email us at info@convo-cards.co.za and we'll take it down.
