Frequently
asked
Everything you need to know about sharing a story. Can't find your answer? Email us at info@convo-cards.co.za.
Q.01Is my story really anonymous?
Yes. We don't ask for your name, email or any account to share a story. We only ask for the story itself and the region it happened in.
Before a story goes live, we also remove any names or details that could identify you or anyone else.
Q.02What kind of stories can I share?
Real stories about love, sex, dating and relationships. Hookups, situationships, secrets, first times, open relationships and everything in between. Stories from every orientation are welcome. The best cards are short, honest and specific.
Q.03What won't you publish?
We won't publish stories that name or identify real people, threaten or harass anyone, describe illegal activity in a way that could put someone at risk, or include hate speech. We also skip anything that looks like advertising or spam.
Q.04How long until my story appears?
We read every submission by hand, so it can take a few days. Not every story is published, but every one is read.
Q.05Will you change my story?
We may shorten it to fit on a card, fix spelling, or remove identifying details. We won't change what your story is about.
Q.06Why do you ask for a region?
The region lets readers browse stories from their part of the country using the region filter on the home page. A town, city or suburb is perfect. You don't need to give an exact address, and please don't.
Q.07Can I remove a story I shared?
Yes. Because we don't collect your details, we can't link a story back to you automatically. Email us at info@convo-cards.co.za with the card number (shown above each card, for example No. 1042) and enough of the story for us to find it, and we'll take it down.
Q.08Can I share cards on social media?
Please do. We'd love it if you tagged us when you do.
Q.09Someone wrote a story about me. What can I do?
Email us at info@convo-cards.co.za with the card number and tell us why you think it's about you. We take these reports seriously and will remove a card if it could identify someone.
Q.10Is there an age limit?
You need to be 18 or older to submit a story.
